Students will be given a score of 1-9 for each part of the test. Your average score produces an overall PTE band score, and you can be graded on whole or half points.
Your writing and speaking skills will be assessed. 77–93 minutes are given for this phase. We'll assess your speaking skills based on how well you can communicate in English in a classroom. When writing your responses for the writing test in academic English, you must use good grammar and spelling.
Your reading comprehension will be evaluated. Depending on how the elements in a specific test are combined, this one timed portion has 15-20 independent and integrated skills items. Your ability to read, write, and listen to information supplied in English will be tested using a variety of response forms, such as multiple-choice, reorder paragraphs, and fill in the blanks. As part of the PTE Academic's integrated skill testing format, one item type in this section of the test evaluates writing abilities.
