IELTS overview

The International English Language Testing System is referred to as IELTS. The four skills that are examined are speaking, writing, reading, and listening. On the same day, tests for listening, reading, and writing are given. The speaking test may be administered prior to, following, or on the same day as the other assessments. The Basic Instruction Only the Reading and Writing sections of the IELTS test are altered. Everyone in the class takes the identical Speaking and Listening exam. However, reading and writing tests are taken differently by general training pupils. The IELTS test at the British Council and the International Development Program are identical. Additionally, there is no distinction between the examiners and the marking in the BC and IDP. Exams for the IELTS are offered each month. We provide the standard:-

Band Scale

Students will be given a score of 1-9 for each part of the test. Your average score produces an overall IELTS band score, and you can be graded on whole or half points.

Overview

    • Expert user

    Fully operational command of the language: appropriate, accurate and fluent with complete understanding.

  • Band 8

    • Very good user

    Fully operational command of the language with only occasional inaccuracies and inappropriacies.

  • Band 7

    • Good user

    Operational command of the language, though with occasional inaccuracies, inappropriacies and misunderstandings in some situations.

  • Band 6

    • Competent user

    Partial command of the language, coping with overall meaning in most situations, though is likely to make many mistakes.

Listening preparation tips

Listening to as many conversations as you can is the greatest method to get ready for this IELTS section. Regularly practicing listening to English news broadcasts is a pretty simple strategy. Understanding the fluency of native English speakers is one of the challenges that a non-native listener experiences. Topics are followings:-

Reading preparation tips

Test-takers to read before a set of questions including multiple choice, sentence completion, summary writing, matching information, and short-answers.
